This album documents my solo piano set at the Teignmouth International Jazz Festival 2010. I had spent the previous evening and the morning of the concert walking along the beach in decidedly inclement weather (it was the end of November and particularly cold and rainy, blustery). The experience fed into the improvisation I weaved at the piano, working on themes of intensity, feelings of awe at the natural forces of the ocean, the air - a meteorology of music, if you will.
